Gentlemen,
Good evening on this wonderful August day.
Mark H has sent me these two important calendar events and I am hoping you will take the time to read the attachments and commit to them.
Firstly, the DANCE PARTY on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 23rd
This is a special Darwin Harbour dance party on THE SPIRIT OF DARWIN.
It is a ticketed event and you will require one of the only 100 tickets to get on board. It departs Cullen Bay marina just near YOTS at 5.30pm and will return to this position at 10pm. Music will be on board, the main deck being cleared of chairs for dancing. The sunset will be free.
A bar will be available to supply beer, wine and soft drinks. NO BYO. Nibbles will be available at no extra cost. Age must be 18 and over.
Come on board for $25.00, no concession. Buy your tickets from ABSOLUTELY in Cullen Bay or the AIDS COUNCIL at 46 Woods Street. EFTPOS facilities available at both. Tickets are limited so be quick if you want to go.
Ring me and talk about it or ask for Mark on 89411711.
This is the September social event for our Mens Group.
The second attachment is a memorial for those who have died of HIV.
Come along to Lake Alexander on Sunday September 3rd from 5.30pm onwards. Please support this worthy cause.
For more information phone Mark on 89411711
Now, that's the September stuff out the way. Well almost.
What is happening in August?
We have already had FRANKLY SPEAKING, on Monday 7th and five of us turned up to talk about doing "it" and our preferences concerning this wonderful thing.
Our social event for this month is dinner at GARAM MASALA in the special function room.
This is a banquet to behold. It will cost $40.00 for the food and more for whatever you want to drink. We have ten people so far and can accommodate a few more people, like 8. Please register with me for this wonderful evening. It is to be held on MONDAY 28th from 7pm onwards.
Why MONDAY? Darren and Richard who have been so accomomodating with Christmas in July have this night off and will be there for this event.
I would dearly like a few more people to take part. So please think about joining us.
FRANKLY SPEAKING ... SEPTEMBER 4th... MONDAY .... EAST POINT table at the gate 7pm to 9pm (if we are not there we will be at the nest table on Dudley Point)
TOPIC: DO YOU HAVE KIDS ? ... OR DO YOU REGRET NOT HAVING KIDS?
and what to do when they don't leave home .... are you a surrogate father? ... have you been a father? are you in touch with your kids? ... maybe you are one of those still living at home or have spent time back home after moving out... tell us about it. Share your story and speak frankly.
Bring something to eat and drink for two hours on East Point reserve. hopefully we won't be jetted out our loud musically outed like last time. This could be the last one on East Point for this year. Let's see what happens with the build up and the wet for 2006. |
