| Annual J Bird Art Award |
| This is the third year of this award named in memory of a fabulous, talented local female artist and friend to a large number of the Darwin & NT Art Community, J Bird. |
| J was heavily involved in the Arts in the N.T. and always positively encouraged others to expand & explore their talents, just as she did. |
| If you hadn’t seen her for a while “What are you doing with your art?” was always one of her first questions. |
| The $500 prize is designed to encourage GLBTI artists in the Darwin community to enhance their skills, gain knowledge and produce even greater more powerful works. |
| Judges will announce the winner at the opening function on Friday 25th May. |
